Details

Not only is adoption an aspect of salvation, it is a move of God among us at Central. Many families in our church have adopted, foster, and provide respite care for children. One of the ways we seek to holistically support this is by gathering our church (and welcome the broader foster & adoption community) to focus on adoption in a general session followed by breakout sessions tailored to serving specific demographics among us as it relates to adoption.

Gluten Free/Dairy Free refreshments available.

GENERAL SESSION | 3.00pm - 4.00pm

Adoption & Foster Care: The Call and the Promise
w/ Guest Speakers Aaron & Kveta Rose

In this talk we will look at how God’s call to care for vulnerable children comes with His promise to uphold us, sanctify us, and build His kingdom.

BREAKOUT SESSIONS | 4.00pm - 5.00pm

+ Exploring Foster Care & Adoption
w/ Emily Shantz, Social Worker | Ministry of Children & Family Development

This breakout session is for those who are interesting in learning what it could look like to be a household that fosters and/or adopts, and what next steps would be.

+ Supporting Adoptive Families Well
w/ Panel: Chad Bruneski & Lisa Roseboom

This breakout session helps the church family better understand the unique dynamics of foster and adoption households and learn how to support these families among us well.

+ Adoptive Families Forum
w/ Facilitators: Marie & Gary Baars

This breakout session is an opportunity for parents of adopted children and foster parents to share in a supportive and understanding environment.
