Youth
The Youth Policy & Procedures provide clear guidelines to foster a safe, respectful, and Christ-honouring environment within the youth ministry. It prioritizes the prevention of abuse, harassment, and bullying by establishing firm behavioural boundaries for leaders and students. The policies affirm the ministry’s commitment to supporting all students, including addressing LGBTQ+ topics with Gospel-centered care and truth. Participation requires annual registration, parental consent, and strict adherence to safety protocols for events and transportation. Leaders are thoroughly trained, screened, and held to high standards of conduct in both personal interactions and online communications. Disciplinary procedures focus on redirection and restoration, with appropriate consequences for behaviours such as substance use, bullying, or misconduct. Ultimately, the manual reflects a commitment to accountability, safety, and guiding students toward authentic faith in Jesus.

Kids Ministry
The Kids Ministry Abuse Prevention Policy outlines clear guidelines to create a safe, Christ-honouring environment for children, prioritizing their protection and well-being. It emphasizes the prevention of abuse through measures like the "Two Adult Rule" and prohibits inappropriate behaviours such as unwanted affection, physical discipline, or private interactions in isolated spaces. Discipline is addressed with loving, firm, and consistent guidance to encourage positive behaviour while avoiding harm. In cases of suspected abuse, immediate action is taken, including suspension, investigation, and reporting to leadership, parents, and authorities as needed. This policy reflects the ministry's commitment to accountability, transparency, and providing pastoral care to both children and volunteers alike.

Sexual Misconduct Policy & Procedure
In today’s increasingly complex and challenging world, the effects of sin can infiltrate every aspect of our lives, this is true even within the church. As believers, we are called by the Gospel to honour Christ in all things and to love our neighbours as ourselves. Sadly, sexual misconduct has, at times, been overlooked or inadequately addressed within the church, damaging the reputation of Christ and causing deep harm.
Recognizing the severe impact of sexual misconduct, Central is committed to fostering a safe and respectful environment. As a result Central has crafted a Sexual Misconduct Policy (SMP) designed to address inappropriate behaviour with a clear and comprehensive approach. Crafted with legal counsel, the expertise of social workers, law enforcement, skilled counsellors, and the BCMB Conference, this policy establishes robust processes and protocols to handle allegations of sexual misconduct with the utmost seriousness and integrity.
The SMP outlines procedures for investigating allegations, including engaging appropriate authorities, and provides avenues for both formal investigations and informal resolutions where suitable. Our goal is to ensure that Central remains a safe space for everyone and to uphold the highest standards of accountability and confidentiality.
