+ PERSONAL LIFE AND CONDUCT POLICY
Central Community Church seeks to glorify God by being authentic followers of Jesus who lead others to follow him. Therefore, Central’s School of Ministry expects its students and volunteers to live a life that is above reproach1 and consistent with biblical standards. Therefore:
- I commit myself to present the gospel of Jesus Christ in word and deed to all people and to minister to them through the direction and empowerment of the Holy Spirit.
- I commit myself to the spiritual disciplines of prayer, study of the Scriptures, and obedience to the word of God.2
- I commit myself to obey Jesus’ commandments to His disciples to love and serve others. This includes respect for all people regardless of race, sex, status, or stage of life.3
- I commit myself to refrain from practices which are biblically prohibited. Such practices include criminal violence, drunkenness, profane language, abortion, involvement in the occult, dishonest practices such as plagiarism, cheating or stealing, premarital sex, indulging in pornography, living common-law, adultery, and to uphold and adhere to the orthodox perspective on gender identity and sexual orientation.4
- I commit myself to maintain the highest ethical standards of honesty in all ministry, business and personal dealings. I will avoid any real or apparent conflict of interest.
- I commit myself to obey the laws of the government, in so much as they do not contravene the laws of God.
- Considering my role as a spiritual example and leader, I commit myself to act as an example for believers in speech, in life, in faith, and in purity. Therefore, I will make lifestyle choices with a high level of consideration for those around me. I will abstain from the use of illegal drugs or the habitual use of tobacco, cannabis, or alcohol.
I agree with the Personal Life and Conduct Policy and hereby commit myself to these disciplines, depending on the Holy Spirit to guide and empower me to faithfulness.
