Global Ministry Partnerships

We are committed to sending out and supporting missionaries to go to the unreached and strengthen the global church. Central financially supports and partners in ministry with these global missions organizations:

Compassion

Over the last 70 years, Compassion revolutionized the fight against global poverty by partnering with local churches to meet the unique and urgent needs of children living in poverty.

Today, Compassion partners with over 8,000 local churches in 29 countries to deliver our proven holistic child development program to more than 2 million infants, children and youth. Around the world, children, families and entire communities are being empowered to overcome poverty and thrive both now and into the future.

WORLDSERVE

WorldServe is dedicated to strengthening the persecuted church. For over 45 years, WorldServe has focused on empowering international churches to make a Gospel transforming impact in local communities.

As a non-denominational, Christian ministry based in Canada, they have one purpose - to glorify God. WorldServe does this by partnering with, strengthening, and equipping local churches in China, Ethiopia, Cuba, and Myanmar. By supporting church planting pastors, offering Christian leadership training, and distributing Bibles--as well as providing practical helps, such as famine relief, micro business projects, caring for needy children, and community health initiatives, WorldServe sees communities change and the influence of the local church grow. The local church is making history in the countries where they work.

YOUTH UNLIMITED

Youth Unlimited has been making a difference in the lives of youth since the early 1940s. Today, they're an innovative organization affiliated with a network of Youth Unlimited and YFC youth workers all around the world.

They see hope and potential in every young person we meet and reach through community specific programs, and are committed to extending Christ’s love to all youth they connect with in Greater Vancouver. Their purpose is to see these young lives transformed through relationships. It all starts with connection, the moment when a young person meets a Youth Unlimited youth worker who will be there for them for the long haul.

Motivated by our faith, Youth Unlimited believes that transformed youth have the opportunity to transform communities, our country, and the world. They engage and equip youth to know and follow Jesus.

Campus Outreach

Kw'íyeqel Secondary School | WEEKLY BREAKFAST PROGRAM

Kw'íyeqel Secondary is the Alternate Education Secondary School for the Chilliwack School District. Kw'íyeqel Secondary is proud to offer programing to students across the entire Chilliwack School District, and neighboring communities, and aims to provide students with unique learning opportunities for their path to graduation. They provide additional support to students above and beyond what a student would receive in a typical bricks and mortar secondary school.

Each week a team of volunteers from across our Central campuses cooks, delivers, and serves breakfast for students at Kw'íyeqel Secondary as they embody the mission: to lead students to be authentic followers of Jesus, by loving God and loving people.

Promontory HEIGHTS ELEMENTARY SCHOOL | BREAKFAST & LUNCH PROGRAM

We support the Promontory Elementary Breakfast and Lunch program through benevolent donations at the Promontory Campus.  Every other week we have a team of people who receive a list of needed items from the school and go shopping to pick up food items and deliver them to the school.  These donations help provide breakfast and lunches during school, as well as Starfish Boxes which go home to families struggling with food insecurity at the end of the week.   Our volunteers in the school also get a chance to interact with the kids and help distribute some of the meals.

SEABIRD ISLAND  | WEEKLY DINNER PROGRAM

Teams from our Agassiz Campus volunteer as hosts, cooks, and servers at a weekly community dinner sponsored by the Family Development Team of the Health Department at Seabird Island. The goal of the dinners is to provide a sense of community and the opportunity to deepen relationships among families at Seabird.

LAKE ERROCK CAMPUS FOOD BANK

On the first Sunday of every month, our Lake Errock campus transforms the church basement into a community food bank. We are able to provide food and clothing to anyone that may need it, but more than that it’s a place for people to connect over lunch or a coffee as we build relationships with those in the surrounding community. The LE Food bank is supported by the collection bins located in the foyers of our LE and Harrison campuses, and by additional donations and funds through the rest of our campuses, but also our benevolent account which seeks to care for the practical, emotional and spiritual needs of people. This has been a project that has been able to get off the ground by the unity of our church, and it has been amazing to see our church recognize a need in the community and then respond by the Spirits leading.
