Gabriela Carter

Gabriela is passionate about encouraging people toward Christ in the midst of their pain and suffering, as well as equipping individuals for biblical care and counselling. Her vision is to equip the church body for intentional helping relationships so that church becomes a place full of people who can mutually provide wise Godly counsel through the many struggles of life. She aspires to train up certified biblical counsellors who can provide gospel care within the church, as well as lay the foundation for a professional biblical counselling center opening soon.

Gabriela began working in the field of mental health over twenty-five years ago as she trained to become a Psychiatric Nurse. Throughout those years, she had a growing desire to encourage the hurting with biblical truth. She has now had the privilege of counselling with a Gospel centered approach for over a decade and has seen the healing, growth, and transformation it can bring. 

She is a Master Practitioner in Clinical Counselling, registered through the Canadian Professional Counsellors Association and has been certified as a Biblical Counsellor, training instructor, and supervisor through the Association of Biblical Counsellors. She is also a certified Christian Trauma Care Provider. Along with a BA in Psychology from the University of the Fraser Valley she has a masters degree in Biblical Counselling from Westminster Theological Seminary.​

When she's not counselling, She is usually spending time with her husband, four children, and various animals on their one-acre homestead. She loves to spend time outdoors, hiking, gardening or swimming in a lake. She also spends a lot of time reading and homeschooling her kids.
